Vegetables Pre-order

WHY DO WE WANT TO IMPLEMENT THIS NEW SCHEME?

1.    To make sure everyone gets enough fruits and vegetables at the bazaar Currently, we guesstimate the produce order for every bazaar based on past trends. However, the number of consumers visiting the bazaar is growing every day, so our estimates are not very accurate. Therefore we end up ordering too much or too little produce. Too much means the produce is wasted which is a shame. Too little means you could go back being disappointed.

2.    Help us get you a wider selection of produce We would like to increase the variety of produce at the bazaar. The only way to do that is to give the farmers firm orders every month to help them plan their produce. By ordering just 3 days before the bazaar, we do not get access to a wide variety of produce.

      3.   To help you plan and pre-order more easily

Many members call us before the bazaar to find out the items that are expected, to help them place their order. In the new system, we hope to eliminate this trouble at your end by giving you a list of vegetables and fruits expected at the bazaar at the beginning of the month for the whole month. This will eliminate the guess work and many calls from your end.  We cannot guarantee the availability of produce as that is subject to the vagaries of farming, transport and weather. However we will make a best effort to procure the items requested.

HOW DOES IT WORK:

There is a refundable deposit of Rs. 500. There is NO service charge when you order with a prior commitment for the month. Hence this scheme is “PRE and FREE”! Pre-ordering is available only for Saturday (not Tuesday) bazaars.

We request you to plan your needs  week-wise for the entire coming month. You will receive an email with the from, for each month. Please send us the filled-out form by Email OR via a hardcopy at the store, BEFORE the start of the month. The form will be updated every coming month, with the in-season produce.

1. You may choose one or more Saturdays for your preorder needs, and select the specific bazaar dates that you want to order on.

2. Your order can vary as you wish between different bazaar days.

3. You can specify the Quantity of each item needed as you wish -- either in kilograms, or no.of pieces. While we do our best to match the quantity requested we ask you to give allowance for small variations in weight or size, which are difficult to avoid in fresh produce.

4. Feedback regarding quality of produce is welcome but we cannot accept returns.

5. Please have your preorder picked up on the DAY of the bazaar, to ensure freshness. We suggest between 5 and 7 PM, so as to avoid the rush hour from 4 to 5. Do make full payment for the basket at time of pick up.

6. CANCELLATIONS: If you have to cancel any particular order please do so 3 days in advance of the bazaar.  Cancellations received at shorter notice may be charged in full, in case we are unable to sell the produce.
